Tommy Kullberg
Tommy Kullberg has been working with dogs professionally since 1999. A retired U.S. Army veteran with 20 years of service, Tommy developed much of his foundation in canine work while stationed in Germany, where he was mentored by experienced trainers, handlers, and established dog clubs.
While often called a dog trainer, Tommy considers himself more of a canine behaviorist, focusing on understanding why a dog behaves the way it does rather than simply correcting behavior. He works with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds, specializing in protection work, scent work, working dogs, and Police K9s, while also helping families with specific behavioral and training needs.
Throughout his career, Tommy has worked with numerous dogs labeled “aggressive” or difficult, including rescued dogs that were at risk of losing their homes or lives. By looking beyond the label and identifying each dog’s drives, abilities, and needs, he has helped many become highly trained working K9s or successful family companions.
Tommy has served as a local animal shelter evaluator, a decoy for working-dog teams, and a handler. He is also a judge for canine scent-work sports.
Today, Tommy continues his work with veterans and service dogs, helping build reliable partnerships between people and their dogs. His philosophy is simple: understand the dog first, then train the behavior.
Miranda
From an early age, Miranda developed a deep passion for animals, with dogs quickly becoming the center of that passion. What began as her lifelong love for dogs grew into a career dedicated to training, working with, and strengthening the relationship between dogs and their handlers.
In 2017, Miranda completed both professional dog training and master dog training programs with honors, earning certifications in each. She went on to found Multi-Sport K9, where she serves as founder, head trainer, and manager.
Over the years, Miranda has trained hundreds of dogs across a wide range of disciplines and experience levels, from puppies learning their first foundations to advanced obedience, working dogs, service dogs, and facility therapy dogs. Her service dog experience includes training dogs for both children and adults with a variety of individual needs and tasking requirements.
Miranda has also trained facility therapy dogs for schools and other organizations throughout the United States as well as therapy dogs serving police and fire stations. These dogs are trained to provide comfort, companionship, and emotional support in environments where staff and those they serve may experience significant stress, trauma, or demanding circumstances.
At the heart of Miranda's training philosophy is the relationship between dog and handler. She believes the best training creates more than a well-behaved dog. It creates communication, trust, confidence, and partnership. Her goal is to give owners and handlers the tools to better understand their dogs and build a relationship that makes everyday life more rewarding for both.
Miranda also believes that a professional trainer should never stop learning. She remains actively involved in dog sports and working dog competition with her own dogs, continuing to challenge herself to learn, prove, and apply new skills.
She currently trains and competes in Protection Sports Association (PSA) with her Belgian Malinois, Envy, Kruella, Sybil, and her Dutch Shepherd, Ronan. She is also actively training her Dutch Shepherd, Drax, for French Ring, expanding her experience in protection, sports, and working-dog disciplines.
Her competitive background extends well beyond protection sports. Miranda has competed with and earned numerous titles with her Labrador, Rambo, participating in a variety of AKC and UKC events and disciplines, including obedience, rally, dock diving, disc dog, scent work, IPO, tracking, and other performance events.
Today, Miranda continues to train and compete with her personal dogs across multiple sports and disciplines. Her ongoing involvement in competition gives her firsthand experience with the challenges faced by handlers— from building foundational skills to preparing for high-level performance.
Through Multi-Sport K9, Miranda combines her professional education, years of hands-on training experience, and active competition background to help dogs and their people reach their potential.
